It is shown in a natural state of "sun bleached" which means the antler sheds have been laying out in the weather for at least one season, maybe two seasons, in the sun. If sheds are out longer than that, they start to decompose and become chalky. Animals start gnawing on them so they lose their natural shape and integrity.
